The blend of Malay, Chinese and Indian influences has created a vibrant and exciting cultural mix, best seen and experienced in the delicious range of culinary delights including spicy Malay dishes, and endless variety of Chinese food, exotic cuisine from Northern and Southern India and Nyonya and Portuguese food.
Depending on your placement, you may be living on-site either part-time or full-time with other volunteers.
AFS organises cultural activities and trips to truly open up your mind to the different cultures within Malaysia.
