Learn a new language in the Year of Languages
2008 has been proclaimed as the International Year of Languages by the United Nations General Assembly, a declaration which will promote the idea that “genuine multilingualism promotes unity in diversity and international understanding”.
So to help you in your efforts to learn a new language, AFS Australia is offering partial scholarships – valued at around $3000 each – for high school programs to China, Belgium French, and Thailand.
- 6 scholarships are available for the one year program to China, departing August 2008, bringing the program cost down to $7000.
- 2 scholarships are available for the one year program to Belgium French, departing August 2008, bringing the program cost down to $9000.
- 4 scholarships are available for the one year program to Thailand, departing July 2008, bringing the program cost down to $6950.
