AFS is delighted to announce that 25 Partial Scholarships are now open to students of Australian High Schools teaching Japanese to spend a month in Japan. If your school is interested in becoming a part of this program, please contact AFS.

Program Details
This program is starting on 4th December 2009 and finishes 28th December 2009. You will be attending a local high school and staying with a host family

Who is eligible?
A high school student in Australia:
√ who is attending one of the schools selected by AFS
√ who is aged between 15 and 18 at the start of the program
√ who is majoring in Japanese and among the top students of the class
√ who meets the AFS application guidelines for Japan
√ who is capable of adjusting to the Japanese way of life

This scholarships to Japan covers:
√ Return travel from the closest International Airport (Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth) right to the door of your host family
√ Full orientation and enrichment activities during the stay
√ Most medical costs incurred during the visit, except for pre-existing conditions, dental and eye care

What is not covered
√ Participation fee of $800
√ Passport application
√ Travel Insurance
