We are thrilled to announce that 6 new scholarships are being offered by Xstrata Coal. These full scholarships are available to any AFS country worldwide on either year, semester or intensive High School program or Community Service departing in 2009!
What is on offer?
Six full scholarships for students attending secondary school or for those who have finished school and wish to work on a community service projects from 8 weeks to 11 months on an AFS program.
Two scholarships are offered by each division
√ New South Wales
√ Queensland
√ South Africa
The scholarship covers the entire AFS participation fee. It includes:
√ Return travel from your home right to the door of your host family
√ Orientation and enrichment activities during the stay
√ Medical costs incurred during the visit, except for pre-existing conditions, dental and eye care
Who is eligible?
Any teenage child, grandchild or sibling of an Xstata employee who:
√ is attending secondary school
√ is in Year 9, 10, 11 or 12 at the time of application
√ meets the AFS application guidelines
