SDA New South Wales
AFS is pleased to announce that SDA NSW is offering one full year high school program scholarship to any AFS country worldwide departing in 2009! For the first time this scholarship is also offered for 18+ Community Service programs. This program offers opportunities for participants to volunteer overseas for between six weeks and 11 months.
The scholarship will be entirely funded by SDA NSW and covers:
√ return travel from your home right to the door of your host family
√ orientation and enrichment activities during the stay
√ medical costs incurred during the visit, except for pre-existing
conditions, dental and eye care
Who is eligible?
Members of SDA NSW or any child of an SDA NSW member.
For the high school programs applicants must be attending secondary school and in Year 9-12 at the time of application.
For the Community Service Program applicants must be over 18 years old

SDA (Shop, Distributive & Allied Employees Association) has been working in partnership with AFS since 1994.
During this time over 55 students have been sponsored to take up the challenge of living and studying overseas for one year.
