Applications have closed for 2010.

AFS is pleased to announce that Downer EDI Mining is offering one full Intensive Program scholarship to France, Japan, Italy Thailand. The program will run from December 2010 to February 2011.

The scholarship will be entirely funded by Downer EDI Mining and will cover:
√ Return travel from your home right to the door of your host family
√ Medical costs incurred during the visit, except for pre-existing conditions, dental and eye care
√ Accommodation and meals with a volunteer host family

Who is eligible?
Any child of a permanent Downer EDI Mining employee in Australia who:
√ is attending secondary school and in Year 9-12 at the time of application
√ meets the AFS application guidelines

Downer EDI Mining has been sponsoring AFS Intercultural Programs since 2001. In this time has sponsored fourteen students to take up the challenge of living and studying overseas for periods of up to one year.
