Before you start applying online, it is important that you understand what is involved in the application process. The whole selection can be lengthy and the earlier you submit your application, the quicker we guarantee a place for you!What is involved in the application process?
The Online Application process consists of two parts.The First Part includes:

4) Program Preference
5) Photos
6) Authorisation
Once you submit the first part of the application, we will review your papers and give you access to the full application.
The Final Part of the application which includes:
7) Travel Preference
8) Parental Letter
9) Academic Forms
10) Consent
11) Participant & Financial Agreements
Depending on the program you are applying for, there may be more forms to be completed, and will see these in the full application stage.

We will communicate with you during the process through emails, so please provide us with the correct email address when you sign up an AFS account. Please check your emails on a regular basis for updates and suggestions from AFS, you might also want to check your junk mail filter configuration and make sure all emails from afs.org are able to reach you.
